Poynton JFC/FC were re-awarded the Charter Standard Community Club Award on 18th December 2007 by Cheshire County FA as a reflection of the Club maintaining it's high standards and commitment to developing as a Community Football Club. Poynton FC prides itself on achieving the highest award available in amateur football. In 2004 we were awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard Community Club Award. This followed the FA Charter Standard Development Club Award in 2003. Below are the requirements as laid down by the FA that Poynton FC had to meet in order to achieve FA Charter Standard Community Club status:

 

  • A written constitution
  • Self-certified screening of managers, coaches and officials
  • All managers to have minimum of FA Junior Team Managers Award
  • Commitment to attend in-service training
  • Acceptance and promotion of Codes of Conduct
  • Commitment to provide Mini-Soccer opportunities for Under 10s
  • Commitment to promote schools liaison and equal opportunities for all
